Hello Vanquish! Time to get this Roll Call rolling!
Welcome to all our newer members, we are glad to have you, fresh blood is what keeps Vanquish so lively! Also, welcome to a time-honored tradition…the Vanquish Roll Call! We are honored you have chosen Vanquish as your home here in ESO and look forward too many adventures together.
I hope everyone is enjoying our 6th Birthday Celebration! There are still more events this evening…..Don’t miss a special Saturday edition of Friday night Fights with Dantheman, followed by the Saturday night Trials with Infi and as many other trial leads as we need!
Six years and still going strong Vanquish! I must admit that the wonderful people of this guild, still manage to surprise and amaze me with their generosity and hospitality. When I joined Vanquish, I knew I had stumbled upon something special and unique. You, the members, are what makes Vanquish different from other guilds. I’m so proud to be a part of this family, guild, group or whatever it is we are.
It will be the members that carry Vanquish forward into many more years and birthdays to come. As our Vanquish family continues to grow, I continue to count the many blessings all of you have brought into my life. Thank you all for making Vanquish your gaming home and joining us on this awesome adventure!
First order of business the Website and Discord::::
THE WEBSITE, www.vanquishguild.com has a new theme to reflect the upcoming Greymoor expansion. Keep an eye on “The Vanquish Store” Forum in the coming weeks! Duck is working to update old images and creating some exciting new images for our favorite mugs, t-shirts, and other gear.
Over the last six months, Josie and Lapuaboy, (THANK YOU BOTH) have been keeping us all connected with News Articles regarding PvP, Member Spotlights, Trial Tales, Housing and much, more. If you are not a website regular, I invite you to stop by and read up!
Please contact Duck or I if you have suggestions about the website, or if you are interested in submitting News Articles. There are many things going on here in Vanquish and if you’d like to bring something into the limelight on the front page let us know.
The EVENTS page continues to offer group activities on everyday of the week! Anyone can post events; we don’t over-lap events of the same type. Please allow 30 minutes when possible between events for members to be able to stretch, bank, sale and show up on time. If you have any questions on posting events an officer or current event host should be able to help.
I hope all of you will visit the website and have a look around at all the things available to you there. News, Events, Forums, Signature Awards, Request, Builds, or stop by and send out a Kudos and Recognition to your friends!
Please use the website and DO NOT FORGET, you must be logged in and you must add a character to the roster to sign up for events. One last thing regarding the website… It is the glue that binds us as a family, it brings a level of cohesion and organization that is part of any long-term guild. Everything you contribute to the website becomes part of Vanquish’s history.
Discord has recently been reorganized; channels added/removed/moved around. If something isn’t working or you see a need that hasn’t been attended to please speak to Duck. I have no clue how to create channels and when you notice things out of place it’s usually because I dropped and dragged without knowing it.
If you are a member that hasn’t used our Discord, you can find the Discord information on the bottom half of the guild page, (press <G> key) or in the News and Announcement Forum on the website. Even if you don’t use the voice channels, I recommend you still stop by and take advantage of the text channels.
Discord has text channels for addons, tech help, outfit-station/fashion, crafting, housing, pvp, and looking for a group. Those using the voice chat please remember we are a push-to-talk server. Dropping into chat, listen in, or just lurking in text channels on the Discord server is encouraged!
The website and Discord are full of help, information, and fun stuff. If you are not taking advantage of these resources, please consider doing so.
Moving on to some general information and/or announcements of sorts.
GUILD BANK::: Items in the guild bank are FREE! Guild banks work much the same way as your personal bank space; however, the guild has the right to set permission by rank. All members of Vanquish can view, deposit and withdraw items from the guild bank. All members can deposit gold in the guild bank, a rank of Officer or higher is required for gold withdraw.
The bank is stacked full of great stuff for new members, alts, and veterans alike! If you have items that you want to insure go to someone that can use them offer them up in guild chat and mail to a member in need of them. Shell does this all the time and it works great! If you make something for a specific member of the guild mail it to that person.
If you put gold in the guild bank by accident, this happens when folks are paying dues for trade guilds and such, contact an officer they will return your gold to you. Items in the guild bank are FREE! Please use common sense when making deposits/withdraws is all that we ask.
GUILD HALL::: To get to the Guild Hall press “G” to bring up the Guild home page>move to Roster(the second tab)>locate @vanquishguild on the Roster page (easiest way to do this is sort the Roster page by rank and look for the treasure chest icon to the right of @vanquishguild should be one of the first few @names)>right click @vanquishguild>select “Visit Primary Residence”. BOOM you are there!
The Vanquish guild hall is a great big place with lots of cool things in it! You can find all the normal crafting station blacksmithing, clothing, wood, provisioning, alchemy, and enchanting. There is a dye/outfit station, transmute station, banker, merchant, and numerous target dummies. We also have all 13 Mundus stones available.
EVENTS::: It is amazing the number of long running static events we have on our calendar. Members love MnM, UDT, WzW, TTP, FnF, SmS, and the many trials offered each week. We love that you are showing up and continuing to enjoy these events.
I do wish that the daytime and late-night members had the same opportunity to attend these events during their normal play times. If there is anyone on durning the daytime or late-night that would like to host a WB, Undaunted, PvP, Pledge, or trial event….post it up at a time that works for you and have fun!
If you need help getting started, I’m sure any of our current event host would be happy to explain the schedules and/or way they run the events. Just ask if you are interested in hosting, we’d love to bring these events to as many members as possible.
I’d like to give a special shout out to Creak for taking on the Sunday Fish Fest! Moy for bringing us Trivia in guild chat the last few months! Kildaan for continuing to find time once a month for a “Da Bears” event! Thank you for the fresh ideas and continuing to make these events happen for all the members to enjoy.
THINGS YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOW::: Vanquish does have a Trial Progression groups running. Tier1 is working on Craglorn Vet and vHM. Tier2 has just finished Vet MoL and is headed to Sunspire. If you have an interest in progression trials, please visit the “Trials and Arena” Forum on the website.
Read the Tier 1 & 2 pinned threads and if you meet the requirements (or need help improving to meet the requirements) contact Delkurz, Josie, or Santaniko. The trial leads will let you know when a spot opens up and if you need help with the requirements they will give you the advice and information you need to be successful and join them in the near future.
For the achievement hunters among us….There is a thread in the “PVE General Discussion” Forum where discussion is taking place to get groups together for working on Vet Dungeon Achievements. These are member groups setting their own times and working together. They are not being led and you would be responsible for setting up and organizing your own groups.
Next up State of the Guild::::
TODAY being the 6th Birthday Celebration of Vanquish… I’d say the state of this guild is somewhere between a collage prep rally and an after-hours social mixer at the corner pub.
In all honestly most guilds don’t make it 6 months, some guilds make it a year or two. Vanquish was founded on March 30, 2014 and we continue to grow steadily. Vanquish is here to stay, here in ESO and wherever else the future may lead us. Vanquish will be around in the MMO world for a long time to come!
With the Greymoor expansion right around the corner and content still being added on a regular basis, I don’t see us searching for a new MMO home anytime in the foreseeable future.
We will be here in ESO searching for Antiquities to become Archaeologist! Killing off the invading Sea Giants in the new trial “Kyne’s Aegis”! We will save the very soul of Skyrim from the Harrowstorms! What ever adventure comes our way with Greymoor we will conquer them together as we always have.
Our roster currently has 260 members, of those we have 225 active members currently (logged in over the last 7 days). In the last 3 days 205 active! That is amazing, there are guilds of 500 members that don’t have that many active in the last 30 days.
RECRUTIMENT (or the lack of as it maybe be)::: As always, our doors are open to family and friends of current members. While adventuring or PUG’ing if you happen to cross paths with someone you feel may be a good fit with Vanquish, simply send them to the site to have a look around and invite them to fill out an application if they like what they see.
In October I started a new Recruitment Thread on the Official ESO forums to reflect the new leadership and the new .com address. This new thread is 2 pages/37 post thus far. I try to keep the post on the first page of the Guilds PC/MAC-NA forum.
If you would like to add your Vanquish experiences to the recruitment post, I would really appreciate it! Contact me and I can get you a link to the Recruitment thread! Your testimonials are the best word of mouth advertising we have!
Nuke has been adding our recruitment post to Guild Fridays on ESO SubReddit since January. We see a steady number of applications that mention seeing us on either the ESO Forums or SubReddit. |H1:guild:2707|hVanquish|h is also listed on the in-game guild finder.
Word of mouth from our members continues to be one of the best forms of recruitment we have. Please continue to direct your friends and family to the site!
We don’t intend to start an in-game recruitment push currently. What we’ve been doing is working, we are growing at a healthy rate that allows us time to get to know our new members. We also expect to see numerous returning members when Greymoor hits the live servers in June. We have speculated that at our current growth rate we could see 300-325 active members by years end.
Overall Guild Direction:::
Vanquish is a guild of moderation first and foremost. As a guild of “moderation” we choose to explore every bit of content the game throws our way from PvP to PvE, End Game to Crafting and light RP without pigeonholing ourselves into saying we focus on any one aspect.
We are looking to continue our focus on being supportive of all areas of the game. We will continue to bring all levels of content to our members with events that range from beginner to endgame content. If you see a need we are not meeting bring it to our attention and we’ll see what can be done.
We have accomplished most of our goals set during the October Roll Call. We have seen a steady roster increase, increased our support in PvP, housing, endgame and RP. When I look around the guild I’m pleased with where we are at.
Current Guild Direction and Future Goals:::
Stay the course!! This is the plan for the immediate future. We are each being heavily taxed out in the real world these days. Real life is unpredictable, stressful and dangerous. The COVID-19 virus has upset our daily lives well beyond anything we could have imagined.
Our plan here in Vanquish is to STAY THE COURSE. We will be a constant for our members. We will not waver in this time of uncertainty; our members can count on Vanquish to be here doing and being what Vanquish has always done and been.
Vanquish will continue to be our home away from home, our safe haven! A place where we can gather and enjoy each other’s company without worrying about social distancing. We won’t know or care if you have washed your hands today!
We feel that remaining the constant in your life is the best course of action we can take. Your leadership core will continue to find ways to improve and make the experience better, but our current course will not change. So, relax and enjoy the ride with Vanquish whenever you can!
On a serious note, more serious than Vanquish usually gets:::
COVID-19 is no joke and it has and will continue to change the lives of our members. I ask that each of you remember during your daily interactions with other members that this virus is not a joke and it is killing people that we love.
We already have some members that have contracted the virus. All of us have family and friends that we worry about and while Vanquish the Guild will survive and always be here ….our members are facing some really scary shit in the real world.
Please remember to be kind to each other and think before you speak, type, or post. Try to use patience, tolerance, and appreciation with the people you come across here and out in the world. Kind words and actions can make a difference in everyone’s lives.
We have members working in the medical field and along the essential supply chains. They are risking a great deal when they leave their homes every day. When you venture to the grocery store, doctors’ offices, or any other essential business don’t forget those workers you meet are fighting this war on the front lines.
Yes, that is a lot more serious than we usually get. COVID-19 is serious stuff folks please don’t dismiss what is going on around us. All I can ask is that you remember it is affecting us all and to please act accordingly.
Vanquish Guard:::
The Vanquish Guard is comprised of senior members who have dedicated their time and effort for the benefit of the guild. These sentries of Vanquish stand guard and protect our core values through their ability to teach, lead, and guide other members. They are exemplary members who deserve to be recognized for their loyalty to Vanquish, honorable actions and noble deeds.
Joining the ranks of the Vanquish Guard today will be Kappie and Voratus!!! Thank you both for all that you do for Vanquish.
Current Leadership Core or meeting the officers as some like to call it…….
Vanquish is led by the husband and wife team of Duck and Savina, the buck stops here! Savina is the in-game Guild Commander and Duck holds the in-game rank of Commander. Make no mistake leading this guild is a team effort and we have total confidence and faith in the Vanquish Leadership Core.
Duck and I appreciate their support and appreciate what they bring to the table in way of ideas, suggestions, guidance and friendship. Vanquish would not be what it is without these people devoting their time and energy to the seen and behind the scenes workings here.
Infidelux is Guild Captain. He is dedicated to Vanquish in all regards; he is here every day driving the guild forward by being involved in each aspect of our community. “Block! Or don’t, he’s not your Mom.”
Truth is Infi has spent years grooming and nurturing our members, helping them grow and improve so if you want to think of him as your Mom feel free to do so. Infi is there in everything we do as a guild, from beginner to end game we can count on him to be right beside us helping and guiding us.
Infi hosts SmS, and 2 trials every week, while also attending most other events. He helps with recruitment, applications and guild direction. He is usually soft spoken, and sometimes taken for granted but trust me he is one of the champions of our guild. Infi is always looking out for every member when it comes to the big picture of things around here.
Dan (the man) is our PvP Captain and expert on all things PvP related, including Cyrodiil, Imperial City, and Battlegrounds. He is a skilled leader and motivator that when not engaged in active battle will make you laugh and enjoy PvP on an entirely different level than ever before.
When not leading a PvP event or group Dan devotes time to teaching and mentoring members looking to learn or hone their PvP skills. Dan pours his heart and soul into making Vanquish the best we can be in the 3 banner war.
Dan hosts FnF and WzW each week and runs active PvP groups on Mon. nights and at varying times on Sat. and Sun. If Dan is in the PvP 1 Channel in discord anyone can jump in and join him. If you have questions ask he will provide you with the answers or the resources to get the answers.
Current officers and their specialties::
Delkurz is our Trial/Raid lead he specializes in Progression Raid Team management. Delk is focused and motivated to see Vanquish through the endgame trials and other vet content. He is clear headed and open minded which helps him to see the bigger picture and get the job done!
Delk is also a PvE content specialist along with a hell of a nice guy! We owe him a huge debit for the devotion he has shown in bring end game content to our members. This guy is making a lot happen and he makes it all look easy.
Lenore is….. well “bless her heart” she is LENORE! Lenore is a full content officer that can offer you help in anything and everything. Trust me on this her specialty is knowing a little bit about everything from new player orientation, member management, housing, PvE and PvP she can cover it all.
Yeah all that was the same thing I said last time about Lenore because it is all still true. And I’m going to share with you something Lenore said to me recently. She doesn’t know I’m doing this so let’s hope I don’t cross a line here. I was thanking Lenore for being so awesome when she said to me……..
“Sav, you’re very welcome. I love the guild and all of the members dearly. If I can no longer deliver my nurse kind of love on the job anymore, then I certainly can spread that kind of care amongst us. It’s is my pleasure, and my honor.” Honestly, that statement says everything and we are thankful to be blessed with and by Lenore!
Josie (@Tuatha’an) represents the heart of Vanquish. She spends her time behind the scenes doing all the stuff that helps to improve members experiences here in Vanquish. She brings the little things into the spotlight. Her New Threads on the website include Member Spotlights, Housing, and Progression Trial updates.
Josie is always trying to find ways to include everyone in the different types of content. You’ll find forum post where she brings end game players together for achievements. She recently has taken on organizing activities for our housing enthusiast. She finds time to help with the administration and roster side of things.
She also manages to find time to attend most of the events in a week, while also helping anyone in guild chat that needs an extra body for content. This woman gives her all and she is always excited about everything she does!
Kildaan has been told repeatedly “Kildaan you had ONE job”! However, no one has told him what that ONE job is. This works in our favor of course because we find Kildaan everywhere, trying to do everything, because he wants to do his ONE job the best he can.
He will take you anywhere you want to go! The guy knows no boundaries, he is good at everything and has a warden and bear for every occasion. He leads, follows, and inspires us to think outside the box. If you want to try something crazy he’ll be right there with you, and generally finds a way to make it successful
Kildaan host Dragon and Helm runs on alternating Tues., drunken trials on Fri., and he is the creator of the “Da Bears” Events. He has awesome ideas and has brought a lot of fun times and laughs to Vanquish. Plus he is the go to man of the PST zone!
Now our 3 newest officers Bella, Glitter, and Nuke……
They just became officers this week and haven’t had time to cement their place among the leadership. I have no doubt by next roll call I’ll have plenty to reference for each of them and what their role is among the leadership. For now, I’m going to go with why these 3 have been asked to join the Leadership Team.
Bella is amazing in all things ESO, she is a resource that we are lucky to have. She never gives up and her laugh is irresistible. Bella is not afraid to speak her mind and she always has the best interest of Vanquish in mind. She is a great addition to the leadership because she is a natural born leader.
Glitter has always been the one that jumps in to help everyone and run any content members need. He crafts gear and makes things for people. He can make us laugh and he always represent Vanquish with honor and integrity. He is a great addition to the leadership because he brings with him an empathy for our members that will drive him to be a great officer!
Nuke is THAT guy, you know the one, right? Soft spoken and levelheaded, humorous and kind but full of spunk and sass also. He has become a staple member of Vanquish as he participates in all, listen and learns…..then turn it back around and teaches it to others. This is the guy that will keep our leadership grounded as he always puts Vanquish first and will not allow us to stray from our goals.
That is your Core Leadership Team folks!! I want to thank you all for coming out tonight! As always forward we go, making our own way with Loyalty, Honor, Excellence and Booze!
