The Vanquish Christmas Party was this past Saturday, Dec. 20. And WE HAD A BLAST!
Throughout the week, Santa Rigurt made occasional appearances in the guild chat stringing along several versus of the old favorite “Santa’s Coming to Town.” And just like the stories, he’d twinkle his nose and POOF! That was until Saturday.
Sitting on stage, Santa Rigurt was excited to see all the costumes and colors that were strutted before him. He even wanted to have a new elf join him! But she declined. Poor Santa Rigurt. For the opening of the Christmas Party, it was called the Fugly Ugly Festive Contest. Guildies would change their appearance, put together some odd combinations, and done those festive colors. You see, Rigurt had a little too much egg-nog and the object was to sober him up before we all sat on his lap.
Each guildie who participated, screenshots were made and a little artsy fartsy was done so they could print off a late ornament to hang on the tree. Might be a good way to keep those cats off! After all was done, three winners were announced with WhiskyJak coming in first, Xrist coming in second, and Lady Ferona coming in third.
Afterwards, we headed to the wintery home owned by the Guild. In the back, 20 trees were placed in a circle with over 500 items in the center to decorate their trees with. From lights, to harbor stuff, to sweetrolls, wine bottles, candles, pumpkins, and even bones! Be creative! While the first group was given 30 minutes to decorate their trees, the 2nd group got to meet with Santa first. Then, vice versa. But before we get to Santa, let’s show off all the wonderful trees that were presented and the Three Winners voted by the Vanquish Guard and officers.
Tonight, the voting had ended and the winners are: 1st place goes to Davedek! 2nd place goes to Xrist! and 3rd place goes to Astoria! Well done guys!
Each will have their winnings sent to them after I get done with this write up =) AND THE TREES……

Like I said, while some were decorating trees, others were taking their turns with Santa and his Elf. Some sat on his lap. A few, and probably wise, decided on the stool next to him. Before each excited Vanquish peep got a chance to talk to Santa Rigurt, Santa’s Elf was in a joyous mood passing out small gifts to each. Sitting on that comfy lap, or stool that was purposely not as comfy, each were able to either whisper what they would like for their ESO Christmas, or could say it out loud. With a gleam in his eye, he mentioned more than once that maybe, just maybe, he may pay a visit on Christmas Eve.
He knows when you are sleeping….
After our visit with Santa, we urged him along to parade through the streets of Daggerfall and Stormhaven wishing everyone the best of holidays! But this wasn’t the end of the Christmas Party. Oh NO NOH OH OH OH!
It was LAWN DART TIME! The object: Our fearless Guild Leader, Savina, would jump off extremely high points in Tamriel and PLUNGE to her DEATH! Like willingly! She wanted to! And Shell didn’t push her! Once her corpse was found, we all looked at one another and JUMPED TOO! BUT, we had a purpose. You see, the closest Vanquish peep who died over her corpse would win! Bonkers right? Well that’s tradition for you. Our first location was the Giant’s Nose in Stormhaven. Our second location was the high peaks in Stonefalls. And our third location was the bridge in Wrothgar. We’re just not insane to do it once. But three time!
Collecting the bodies, sometimes scraping them off rocks, 3 winners of each were eventually figured out. One was so close we had 5 places win!
And that, is how our Vanquish Christmas Party ended.
