Halloween arrives at Vanquish on November 7th with a costume contest, hide-and-seek, spooky scene challenges, and frightening movies!
Before exploring the event details, visit our Events Calendar to sign up. Costume Contest participants should register to help us organize the day’s activities. Now, on to the events…
COSTUME CONTEST
Join us for the Vanquish Halloween Costume Contest at the Outdoor Theatre, just west of Rellenthil in Summerset. The outdoor venue allows companions. Each contestant should prepare a character backstory of at least one paragraph.
Search your chests, apply your makeup, and showcase your creativity. Costumes will be judged in four areas:
- 1) Creativity
- 2) Originality
- 3) Use of mementos, emotes, and special effects
- 4) Creativity of the backstory
Spectators or attending officers will judge the contest. Prizes will be announced later.
AMONG THE LIVING
The Witches Event may be over, but the dead can still be found among the living. One undead roams the city of Daggerfall, and you must find it before it endangers the citizens. Put your sleuthing skills to work! Each discovery triggers a scream and awards points. After the third discovery, the undead will move to a new location. The three highest-scoring players will receive prizes—and perhaps recognition from King Casmir as well.
No sign-up is required. Prizes are yet to be determined.
CANVAS OF HORROR
At a Coldharbour residence, 18 scenes await decoration. Each participant will choose a scene and stand beside it. A large organ of death in the center will serve as the focal point for your design.
Because homes have participant limits, multiple groups may be needed. Each group will have 30 minutes by default, though the allotted time may be adjusted.
Vanquish officers will take screenshots, judge the entries, announce the results, and award the winners. Three to five entries will be selected as finalists.
Prizes will be announced later.
MOVIE FRIGHT
Grab your popcorn and join us on Discord for this year’s Halloween movie, Stephen King’s “IT,” subject to availability. Sit back and enjoy the laughs and screams together.
The movie will stream in PVE1 at the scheduled event time. Laughs and screams are welcome, but please avoid unrelated discussion. Past successful screenings have included Young Frankenstein, Beetlejuice, and Doctor Sleep.
A great way to close out our Halloween Party!
And to note. If you wish to donate to the Prize Fund for this or future events, please send them to the @vanquishguild account. Anything from collected boxes, motifs, to gold. For the first time in 12 years, our prize fund is nearly looking scarry! Thank you.
